MSG Teresa Alzadon, Soprano Section Leader of the Soldiers’ Chorus, is originally from Auburn, Washington. She earned a Master of Music degree from the University of Tennessee as a Knoxville Opera Studio artist and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music and Theatre Arts from the University of Puget Sound. MSG Alzadon sang the central role of Soldier in “The Falling and the Rising” at the Opera America New Works Forum, New Orleans Opera, and Tri-Cities Opera. Other opera roles include Violetta in “La Traviata,” Anna Maurrant in “Street Scene,” the Governess in “The Turn of the Screw,” Fiordiligi in “Cosi fan tutte,” and Hanna in “The Merry Widow.” Professional theatre credits include Marian in “The Music Man” and Rosa Bud in “The Mystery of Edwin Drood.” MSG Alzadon was the recipient of a Mary Levine Career Performance Grant, an Encouragement Award from the Metropolitan Opera National Council, and a Lori Mayer Fellowship.
